What's in a Book Cover?

Victorian Villains Saga

With genre fiction, the cover plays an important role in telling a reader instantly what they are going to get. Cover design is truly tricky. The Victorian Villains Saga got the bum's rush the first time around. It was time to give the covers a little more thought and pull the look together. Finding historical models is incredibly difficult. But then so is establishing a Gothic tone without veering off into vampire territory.

In the end, we opted to go for the classic Gothic Romance look from the paperbacks our moms used to buy at the supermarket checkout. A softer patina, red lace at the corners and a uniform font pulls the set together.

Victorian Villains will be available at Barnes and Noble, Apple, Kobo and Smashwords in May. We look forward to introducing the series to new readers.

Thank you to all of the readers who have followed along for the past year and emailed their comments and kudos. Catherine will be back with a new sizzling historical romance just in time for summer.

Man of the House Trilogy

If you haven't done so already, check out Evelyn Ellis's Man of the House Trilogy in Amazon Select until June. All three Victorian Erotic Romances are for sale at 0.99 or for borrow through Kindle Unlimited.

The trilogy is a hot variation on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. What would you do if your kind employer turned into a lascivious beast every night and you were the only one who could control him? Furthermore, what would you do if you were in love with your employer and the only way to be with him was through the beast? Molly Knight, a nineteen-year-old governess is about to find out....
